Staff Assistant

Job Description Summary
Administration support for the Fort Lee Education Center located in the Fort Lee, Virginia area. Incumbent will manage and coordinate administrative and office functions. Acts as a liaison with University campus offices. Collect data for reporting and report preparation. Maintains all necessary paperwork associated with staff, instructors, and students as necessary and required. Also responsible for other duties as assigned by Director.
Job Description
Duties and Tasks:
Manage and coordinate administrative and office functions
Answer phones, direct phone calls to the appropriate person
work on admissions files keeping them in order and easily accessible
File, copy, fax and scan vital documents to respective departments
Keep flyers and supplies stocked
Responsible for correspondence to students
Process payments and requisitions
Follow-up on perspective students and applicants
Organize tasks daily thru Outlook
Act as a liaison with University campus offices and educational partnerships
Assist with course & room scheduling process as directed by director
Collect data for report preparation
Serve as faculty contact while maintaining all necessary paperwork associated with adjunct faculty

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
